Common questions

How do I delete my child's account?

Open the ProudMe app, go to Settings, then tap Delete Account and confirm. Account deletion is immediate from the app's perspective; backend data is removed within seven days per our retention policy. You can also email pklab@lsu.edu and a staff member will delete the account server-side and confirm by reply.

How do I request a copy of my child's data?

Email pklab@lsu.edu from the email address on file (or the parent/guardian email associated with the account) and include the child's account username. We will reply with a JSON export of every record we hold about the account, typically within five business days. See Privacy Policy Section 9.

The app crashed, hangs, or shows an error

Please email pklab@lsu.edu with: the iOS version, the iPhone or iPad model, what you were doing when it happened, and a screenshot if you can. Crash logs are also collected automatically by App Store Connect if you opted in when you installed the app.

How do I enroll my child in the LSU research study?

The IRB-approved research study (protocol IRBAM-25-0015) enrolls children ages 11 to 13 by paper consent administered directly by the LSU PK Lab. Email pklab@lsu.edu and a research staff member will send the consent form and child-assent form for review and signature. The App itself is open to children ages 7 to 11 outside the research enrollment.

I have a privacy concern about how Coach Pebble (the AI) responded to my child

Inside the app, every Pebble reply has a Report this reply button. Tapping it sends the message to the LSU PK Lab inbox along with a safety audit row. You can also email pklab@lsu.edu directly with a screenshot and we will review within one business day.
