Common questions

How do I delete my child's account?

Open the ProudMe app, go to Settings, then tap Delete Account and confirm. A successful in-app deletion removes the account and linked live account data as part of the request. Pseudonymized or de-identified research-compliance records may remain for someone separately enrolled in a study, as explained in the retention policy. You can also email pklab@lsu.edu; we do not promise a response time for emailed deletion requests.

How do I request a copy of my child's data?

Email pklab@lsu.edu from the email address on file (or the parent/guardian email associated with the account) and include the account username. The export includes the additive consent type, version, and timestamp fields when present. See Privacy Policy Section 9.

The app crashed, hangs, or shows an error

Please email pklab@lsu.edu with: the iOS version, the iPhone or iPad model, what you were doing when it happened, and a screenshot if you can. Crash logs are also collected automatically by App Store Connect if you opted in when you installed the app.

How do I enroll my child in the LSU research study?

The IRB-approved research study (protocol IRBAM-25-0015) enrolls children ages 11 to 13 through a separate process administered by the LSU PK Lab, with its own parental consent and child assent. Email pklab@lsu.edu for current study information. Ordinary ProudMe accounts are intended for ages 7 through 17, and using the App does not enroll anyone in research.

I have a privacy concern about how Coach Pebble (the AI) responded to my child

Inside the app, every Pebble reply has a Report this reply button. Tapping it sends the message to the LSU PK Lab inbox along with a safety audit row. You can also email pklab@lsu.edu directly with a screenshot and we will review within one business day.
